When my friend, Quinn, introduced me to Scarlett Johansons music I never thought I'd actually like it. But after having listened to the whole album I'm surprised and glad to have learnt that she has an amazing voice. She and Pete Yorn make an excellent duo. I think I'm in love. With their music that is. And of course Pete Yorn, why do all the handsome men have to be so much older than me?

Two of my closest friends are turning the big 21 today. If we were to live in another part of the world this day would be of more significance to them. I thank God, even though I don't really know if he's out there somewhere, for the fact that we are allowed to drink legally at the age of 18 in Norway.

Anyway, I've know Quinn for almost ten years now. And Ca of the CaBlog (http://thecablog.com) for five years. I am proud to say that we've stuck by each other through these years even though we've lived across the world from each other at times.

Libuše Šafránková

My Favourite actress at the moment is definitely Libuše Šafránková . She always is around this time each year. Christmas is approaching and she is starring in my favourite christmas movie of all time; Three Wishes for Cinderella or as it is called in Czech (Libuse is from the Czech Republic) Tři oříšky pro Popelku.

The movie is shown every year on Christmas Eve here in Norway. It is enchanting. When I was little everyone used to say I looked like Libuse. I'd wish that was still the case. She must be one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Dolores Costello

Lately I've been inspired by the silent film era. I love reading up on the actresses back then. Dreaming of how it would be like to live in the world at that time. I wish I could have the actresses' long, curly hair and their amazing clothes. And I'd be thrilled if I could spend just one day living the turbulent life of a silent film star.

Dolores Costello is Drew Barrimore's grandmother. She was nicknamed "the Goddess of the Silent Screen" and reached the peek of her acting career during the 1920s and 1930s. She really was a goddess. To have her looks would be incredible.

I've fallen in love with the photograph of Dolores below. One day I wish to have such a photo taken of me.

I love photography.
At the moment I don't have a proper camera, but I'm saving as much as I can. I can't wait to take pictures of nature and people. I prefer taking pictures out in the free- no studios for me please.

Earlier this summer a friend ask Lillian and me to model for a photography project she's doing. Her name is Hilde Kvivik Kavli (www.hildephotography.com) and she's studying photography in London. I reckon the pictures turned out really good. I've never considered myself to be model material. Let's just say the editing is really good, haha! True Blood

I have a new addiction; True Blood. The best TV series equally next to Grey's Anatomy and Bones. Having spent two weeks at home in isolation I've already made my way through all the episodes from season one. I'm very ready to start watching season two!

Sookie and Vampire Bill's romance is... I don't have words. Perfect? I want a vampire to be in love with me as well. Ah, life is so unfare sometimes!

It turned out that I do have swineflu. I'm starting to get better now though. Not feeling too bad anymore. Today is my last day in isolation as well. Loving it.

Well, let's just say I've had plenty of spare time this last week. And I've spent most of that time online and in front of the TV. I've found my dream shoes- when I get my salary in a few days I'm going to buy all of these:

Hello swineflu?!

I'm sick. I've got all the swineflu symptoms. Got tested today and will get the results in a couple of days or so. Maybe I'm weird but I'm actually kind of happy to be sick. An excuse to stay home and relax. No pressure to be social.

To fill my days with something besides TV watching I've decided to go for walks and take pictures. Maybe I'll post some of them here. We'll see. For now you can enjoy the sexy picture of me and my swineflu mask below. Mind blowing isn't it?!

Alice Babs

I'm supposed to study like hell for my final exam tomorrow. But I've been studying for 5 weeks almost non stop now. So I've had enough really.

I've spent the day at the beach again. And now in the evening I've been searching for pieces on a swedish singer/actress online. My grandmother was actually the one who introduced me to her- Alice Babs is her name by the way. She got her break through in 1940 in a Movie called "Swing it Magistern". She made quite a riot, being the first white girl singing 'swing'.
My grandmother told me she became a star over night. And the song, titled the same as the movie, became a huge hit in Scandinavia in particular. My grandma hadn't seen the movie clip since 1940 when she saw it in the movie theatre with some friends. She was only 18 back then, and seing this again brought back a lot of memories. She was practically glued to the computer screen, and had to watch it over and over again.

I've always been fascinated by the 1920's, 30's, 40's and 50's. The fashion. The music. The celebrities.
I don't hear about Scandinavian actresses/singers from these years too often though. So stumbling across Alice Babs was really great.

A new start...

OK- so I decided to start blogging again. It's been a while! But I've just been missing it lately! So to start a whole new chapter I thought I'd start by writing about the first days of summer!

It's been so nice and warm here lately! I was working yesterday and the temperature was so high. I just wanted to join all the guests on the outside seating area for a nice cool drink. I did. After I finised work of course. Gina, Nhu, Line and I spent the whole evening sipping drinks (water for Gina) and eating a nice meal.

Today the girls and I had our first swim! Not in the ocean. But in a lake in the woods. It was so wonderful. Summer's finally here and all my motivation to study for my exams is gone. It's probably gone on vacation. Who cares.

It's summer! It's time to be free! And time to have fun!
